Photo-exhibition of Moscow Kremlin museums in Naryan-Mar

Being a member of  the Kremlin Museums Friends Society, enables ConocoPhillips Russia Inc. to contribute to efforts to preserve and restore the cultural heritage of Russia and to demonstrate Russia's cultural gems to the younger generation .  This year together with the Kremlin museums in Moscow, and with the support of the Nenets Autonomous disctrict administration, we have implemented a cultural contribution project in the capital of Nenets Automous disctrict. A photo exhibition entitled "Moscow Kremlin - the Residence of Tsars" was opened on October 18, 2010 in Naryan-Mar, and gave an opportunity for the residents of circumpolar areas to see samples of ancient architecture, imperial regalia, unique items of craftsmanship made of gold, silver and other rear materials that the Moscow Tsars used on festive occasions and daily use. In the frames of this exhibition, an interactive program "In the Kremlin Chambers" has been implemented, developed especially for schoolchildren, to give them an idea of the life of the imperial court in the 17th century. The children had a chance to meet "tsarina" and a "boyar", the keeper of the imperial armory, learned the traditions of imperial feasts, tried on an imperial gala dress.
Together with the Kremlin museums, young musicians came from Moscow to perform at the exhibition opening. Next day they gave violin master classes to kids attending Naryan-Mar city School of Arts.
