Children's Day at Kremlin Museums

ConocoPhillips Russia Inc. is a member of the Kremlin Museums Friends Society. This enables our company to contribute to efforts to preserve and restore the cultural heritage of Moscow and Russia and to demonstrate Russia's cultural gems to the younger generation, notably, to children and teenagers of socially vulnerable categories. On 1 June, 2010, International Children's Day, all the museums of the Moscow Kremlin were open for children of those categories only. 400 children and teenagers were brought from Moscow and the Moscow Region by several charity organizations, for a special event organized by the museums. Tours of the museum were provided by guides who were dressed in period costume. The children were allowed to put on warrior armor and sit at tables laid with royal tableware. At the end of the fascinating tour, each of the 400 children received a gift.
